Alexander John Macintyre was the son of Malcom Macintyre and Gertrude McGillivray of Scotland. He sadly passed away during an accident on a training flight from RAF Henlow.
873863 Sergeant Alexander Macintyre was an Air Gunner on Handley Page Halifax II BB364 (NF-R). The aircraft was on a training flight carrying out container dropping practice over RAF Henlow Airfield and collided with a factory chimney SE of Henlow, Bedfordshire. Sgt Macintyre and all crew were sadly killed.
